  3. Are you happy? It’s a simple question and for most of us the stock answer will be yes…..but think about it carefully; avoid the reflex response that you’ve just given and really think about it…..not so sure? Well you’re not alone. ‘9 Habits To A More Fulfilling Life’ examines happiness and fulfillment in more detail; assessing what they actually entail, why such a high proportion of the nation choose to live a life of mediocrity and discontent, and perhaps more importantly, what you can do to change that and realize your true potential. Written in a straightforward, simple manner that has been designed to appeal to as wide a range of the populous as possible, ‘9 Habits To A More Fulfilling Life’ does not seek to preach the ultimate solution, nor does it profess to offer a ‘one size fits all’ answer to everyone’s discontent. What it will do however, is make you really think about yourself and your own individual circumstances. With the help of several simple, reflective exercises, it will also help you fashion and refine your own Habits until they become second nature and you can really understand and appreciate the happiness that we all so richly deserve.

This book really helped. I was very surprised by the amount of information Sally provided. So many of the things she mentioned really struck home and allowed me to really consider her advice. Good job! Keep inspiring others, Sally!

Beautiful Cover! The Australian colloquialisms had me grappling here and there to get a handle on the tale(no pun intended). We have blokes, for dudes. Nah, for no and mates for friends not to mention a stain of humor a tad bit to the left of smooth. I would class this a light read, certainly not something that would make you overly thoughtful. It has entertaining moments, but is a mildly graphic romance with a Siren fantasy element at heart. I think a young adult audience may enjoy it. The most striking character is Joe, who manages to pull a smile and a giggle with his candid thoughts and all male attitude to his mermaid girl wonder. The fantasy aspect is not very detailed, and indeed, most of the action takes place on land, boat or bed(take your pick!). I would recommend this as a beach read and would imagine that most of the target audience would rush to read the sequel, particularly as the unusual ending had quite a bit of bait--ha! to it.

If the measure of a novel is how well you might remember it, say, five years from now ... Then Gone Girl will earn high stars from me for that reason alone. The tale of true love trailing off into nothingness under the strain of real life and serial disappointment, is eloquently told by Gillian Flynn. This is not your average thriller and the first person voice used to allow the reader into the strange world the protagonists make for themselves is a very effective story telling tool. Nick and Amy are utterly believable, they embark on romance with determination, creating for the audience a magic world so intriguing that it becomes increasingly difficult, with the flick of each page, to put the book down. I was riveted from the start. When the mystery begins, it is a suspenseful thing with a mind of its own, and you the reader, will want to get inside that mind. The whodunit aspect is smartly handled and I doubt that there are many who will guess in advance, not that, that is the premise for the book. Indeed, we are allowed into the secret well before the story has run its course. This is a work about a twisted personality, a one off, an unfathomable lunatic. That said, the controversial elements inherent in the plot that have riled the feathers of many good feminists, are not, in my humble opinion, worthy of ballooning--this is a tale about a special type of crazy, rather than gender-stereotype-crazy. I do not want to spoil the story for the reader, so I'll leave this aspect there. The plot is very sharp; the author has woven 'cunning, clever and quirky' thickly through every tiny strand of the tale. Be prepared for an unusual and wickedly entertaining story that might leave you chilled to the bone.

  3. Has a world altering invention become temptation for murder? A vicious killer, an improbable story, and a shattering scientific discovery, mingle to create a cocktail of deceptive intrigue. A bright young woman's death has been framed to look like an act of rage during a call-girl rendezvous. A tired, disillusioned cop, her only hope of redemption. Layer upon layer unfold to reveal a conniving conspiracy of global proportions; a conjuring of convoluted wicked twists. Stacey Cornish has been murdered, and her killer has done very little to hide his identity. When his body washes up on the bank of a local river, Detective Frankie Harlow is unconvinced that the man committed suicide. However, when his family come under-fire in a series of vicious attacks aimed at dissuading further interest, Frankie knows that there is more to the murder than first meets the eye. Stacey was a biochemist working on a cure for cancer, perhaps her death had something to do with her research rather than the frame-of-facts posed by the killers. Bleeding Shame is a compelling story that will grab you at the start, pull you along at a breathtaking pace, and shock you senseless with the questions it poses, and the answers it finds. Heart-wrenching, scary and sometimes humorous, it never fails to impress.

This was a rocking good read. I could not put the book down and read it in one sitting. Frankie, and his dysfunctional family are characters I hope to read more of. This is an intelligent thriller that follows a logical plot to a stunningly explosive outcome. It is a medical conspiracy tale the likes of which you have to read to believe, thoroughly enjoyable.

  3. Quirky Stella is full of fun an laughter on the outside, but her humour hides a personality torn apart by pain and neglect. She would love to change her life , but she doesn't know how. Perhaps she just needs a little help, possibly in the form of a beautiful new friend she has fallen in with. The only problem is he's totally committed to everything Stella despises.

Quirky Stella is full of fun This was a remarkable read. Pure humour from page one. Gina George really gets under the skin of her characters and brings them to life so palpably that you'll find yourself biting your nails with them, laughing out loud at their antics and hoping like mad that it all turns out the way you dream it might. Bravo, What an accomplishment.
